Let’s talk about skin sensitivity and your clients. In this class we will discuss chronic inflammation, concentrating on disorders such as diabetes, celiac disease, lupus and Crohn's disease. Chronic inflammation and allergens can raise the reactivity of the skin during facial treatments and create an unnecessary flare-up. You’ll learn about the most common conditions linked to a sensitive skin, causes of irritation and possible allergens during facial treatments. The innate immune system will be explained as it applies to the reactions of the skin. Ingredient safety, treatment safety and modalities designed for sensitive skin will be explained.
